Viva Las Vegas

Vegas is only a hop skip and a jump away from Los Angeles. I have been going to Vegas about twice a year for the last 10 years.. So I have a lot of information to share! I am narrowing down my top picks in this post…

Drive or fly?

I actually prefer to drive. This is because I like to have my car during the day in Vegas as cabs on the strip get pricey. It is free to park at hotels and if you need to get from one end of the strip to another it is super easy. I have also had lots of really fun road trips to Vegas with my friends and its only about 4 hours which isn’t bad at all. I usually only fly if I am staying less than 2 days.

This is constantly changing because there is always a hot new hotel on the strip. The Wynn/Encore is my top pick with the Cosmopolitan coming in at second. Both of these hotels have the best nightlife and the best pools. I recently stayed at the newest hotel, The SLS, which was okay… pretty rooms and a great deal but too far off of the strip and very “LA”.

XS in the The Wynn – Super fun and always has really good DJS

Surrender in Encore – Great music and an awesome outdoor area

Marquee – The most happening club on the strip

*be prepared for lines at all of these on a weekend* *girls don’t pay*

The Chandelier bar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel is a beautif
ul 3 story bar located inside of the pink chandelier. Each floor of the bar has a different menu. My favorite floor is the 2nd and has a great drink on the menu that comes with a flower inside of it. You eat the flower before drinking it and it heightens all your taste buds – a really cool drinking experience! It is called the Verbena Cocktail.

Eating in Vegas is pricey but amazing…

Italian – Il Mulino in Caesars Palace (most amazing Italian meal ever… several courses)

Sushi/Brazilian – Sushi Samba in The Venetian (interesting spin on sushi, very flavorful)

Seafood – Joe’s Stone Crabs in Caesars Palace (best seafood!)

French – Mon Ami Gabi in Paris (french steakhouse thats less pricey than the rest and amazing food)

Asian – Tao in The Venetian (good food but even better ambiance…club above restaurant too)

Day Club?

Encore Beach Club all the way!

The Love Show – all of the Beatles music and performed by Cirq Du Soleil

“O” – also performed by Cirq Du Soleil and most of it is performed under water.

Both are incredible!

Breakfast Buffet?

Oh gosh now I need to plan a trip to Vegas!
