Typically, I am not a huge fan of vacationing in Palm Springs. The LA heat is usually as much as I can take, so the sweltering desert doesn’t sound like my idea of relaxing. That being said, I had been dying to stay at the much talked about Parker Palm Springs, so Jake and I decided to take a road trip a couple of weekends ago.
The Parker Palm Springs is designed beautifully. The aesthetic is a cross between 70’s vintage and modern chic. Palm Springs is the last place you would expect to see a trendy hotel like this one. What I loved about this hotel was the quirky activities, the unique design and the fact that everyone who stays here is ridiculously good looking.
From groomed croquet lawns, to alcoholic lemonade stands, tennis courts, a to-die-for spa and a couple of A+ restaurants, you don’t even need to leave the hotel to enjoy a fabulous weekend in Palm Springs.
For us, the weekend consisted of riding colorful bicycles around the resort, dipping our toes into the pool with a hard lemonade in hand and reading books while lounging on hammocks. I highly recommend a weekend getaway at the Parker and wouldn’t dare to leave without dining at the hotel’s two divine restaurants; Norma’s for brunch and Mr. Parker for dinner. You’re welcome.
